Over 5,000 active Axie Infinity gamers
Axie Infinity allows players to battle, raise, and trade fantasy creatures called Axies. Promoting non-fungible tokens (NFTs), it has a fully player-owned economy allowing players to seamlessly sell and trade their game assets for digital currency. Hence, all Axie game assets exist as tokens.
As of November 7, one Triple Mystic Axie just sold for 300 ETH (~$140,000).
This milestone happened alongside the game’s governance token Axie Infinity Shards (AXS) listing on Binance. “We believe in a future where work and play become one,” the Axie team pointed out its vision on their whitepaper. Prior to this, a lot of crypto gamers have been supporting the Ethereum blockchain game.
Generally speaking, Axie Infinity recorded an average of 5,500 daily active users, 6,800 weekly active users, and 7,200 monthly active users in October. Specifically designed with a Play-to-Earn model, Axie players can earn AXS tokens by playing and using them to decide the game’s future developments.

According to the team, they are certainly hitting new highs across all key metrics. “Traders, holders, and volume are all skyrocketing as the world continues to wake up to our revolution,” they tweeted.
In detail, Axie combines blockchain and cryptocurrency together. As a result, it offers an immersive gaming experience that involves battling, breeding, and land ownership. By battling, players can earn AXS tokens through P2P tournaments. On the other hand, Small Love Potions (SLP) and AXS are needed to breed new Axies.
In addition, Lunacia, the Axie homeland, has clearly generated the most community interest and revenue as the land sales boomed to almost 4,500 ETH. Moreover, divided into tokenized plots of lands, land-owners might find AXS tokens on their land plots or use their Axies to explore resource nodes on the map.
Initially, the Axie team started development on its real-time card battle system and application in March 2019 and released an Alpha version of it in December 2019. It is backed by gaming and blockchain leaders such as Ubisoft, Samsung, Klaytn, Binance, Kyber Network, and MakerDAO.
