Emerging NFT Artist – Alan Bolton

EMERGING NFTART TALENT ALAN BOLTON-The artist with an EDM graphic design background.

1) How did you or your project get started on your journey?

Throughout my life, I’ve always been very creative but I never took it seriously. I graduated from university in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Business & Management and I didn’t want to go the traditional route of getting an office job for the rest of my life, I made the decision to move to LA, on my own from Ireland to work as a creative. I had no plan but I landed a job as a social media content creator, for a large YouTube channel (2+ million subscribers) and this kick-started my creative journey. I started shooting and editing photos and videos, and got an incredible amount of experience, in such a short space of time. I moved home to Ireland in January 2019 to begin work full-time, as a freelancer building my own brand as a creative. Over the past 2 years, I have built my portfolio from working with top US brands like JUST Water to touring and creating content, with top DJs such as Tiesto and Deadmau5. I have now transitioned away from doing as much client work and I am focused on creating my own 3D art and visuals to tokenize as NFTs.

2) Where do you see yourself in the future, in relation to your work?

I want my work to be recognized and appreciated by as many people as possible. To do so, I have a lot of work to do. My goals for this year are to get on the bigger crypto art platforms such as MakersPlace, KnownOrigin, and SuperRare. I know that this will happen in time. I just have to be patient, create more, new and exciting pieces of work that I’m keen to share with the world.

3) Tell us about your favourite artists, NFT and traditional and any projects you are keen on and why?

One artist stands out to me the most, @STUDIOJQ on Twitter. His style, creativity, and most of all his work ethic are just amazing. I remember writing to him a few months back on Instagram, asking was his page a studio of people or just one person. I was mind blown that he can produce so much work at such a high level. I really respect that. Another artist I really admire is @FVCKRENDER. He has put in over 4 years of daily posts on Instagram, to build his brand following and that really inspires me. I also love that he has a collab with brands like Supreme New York. I love the idea of an artist, bringing their style to a completely new industry. I think we will see more of this in the NFT space as more mainstream brands start to collab with artists to tokenize digital art and collectables.

4) Talk us through your creative process, your best state of mind, environment etc to work in?

One of my biggest passions outside of art is fitness. I love listening to music while working out and I actually get a lot of my ideas while in the gym listening to music. I have a notes app on my phone that I write ideas in and then I flesh them out and research them more when I get home to my computer.

5) Give us images or links to your own favourite material to embed in the piece.

These are two of my latest pieces. I’m very excited about how these turned out as I’ve been meaning to create some Astronaut themed pieces for a while now.

6) Any other exciting developments you need your public to know about?

I have currently applied to MakersPlace, KnownOrigin, ArtSync, and CryptoArt.Ai so if anyone is interested in my work, keep an eye out as I will hopefully be on a lot more platforms in the new year.

7) Anything else (NFT & Art) related that you want to be featured?
