Congratulations to @CRAFTW3RK for being the 1st on to our brand new: Emerging Artist & Rapidly Scaling Artist or Project blog. A truly momentous moment for NFTZine and, we hope for CRAFTW3RK too. In this new section, we have asked our participants the same set of questions and asked them to answer in their own words. A really exciting opportunity, for NFTZine to get a first glimpse at some of the hot, fresh, and innovative new NFT talent out there, and we hope for our collaborators too.
We have been truly humbled by the volume and quality of responses. The enthusiasm and generosity, the warmth and willingness to help the Zine get this new page up and running with fabulous content in just a few days. We look forward to following them all on their journey to Crypto Art stardom.
1) How did you or your project get started on your journey?
I’ve been a graphic designer/coder for over a decade. I started in logo design for websites and eventually found myself doing various freelance work. A few months ago, I randomly came across a YouTube video that mentioned NFT’s and explained the opportunities in this space. I was immediately intrigued and decided to give it a shot.
2) Where do you see yourself in the future in relation to your works?
Honestly, I hadn’t really thought too far into the future. This all started as an “experiment” of sorts, to gauge the community, as well as the intrinsic value behind NFT’s. Eventually, I hope to build a platform in which I can help other emerging NFT artists, as well as introduce new ones.
3) Tell us about your favourite artists both NFT and traditional and any projects you are keen on and why.
Traditionally, I’m absolutely obsessed with Takashi Murikami and Salvador Dali. Both individuals have introduced me to unique forms of artwork, and have inspired me in countless ways. I’m also a big fan of people like Banksy, Yayoi Kusama and of course, the late-great Andy Warhol. Each of these artists displays a unique style while using their art to serve as a gateway to greater causes. I have the utmost respect for any artist in that regard, but especially them. As far as NFT creators, who ISN’T inspired by Beeple?! I mean this guy is absolutely crushing the game right now. I’m also a huge fan of @Pranksy, @UNiK and @ALNBOLTN. These guys inspire me like no other!
4) Talk us through your creative process, your best state of mind, environment etc to work in?
I’ve noticed that some of my best ideas have manifested themselves via music. I listen to a variety of genres, but typically classic Hip-Hop is my weapon of choice. I don’t know if it’s the nostalgia or just my pure love for the music that triggers my thought process, but it undoubtedly puts me in my element. I also like to create in an empty room, without other art to distract my creativity.
5) Give us images or links to your own favourite material to showcase your talent and show the world what you have to offer.
I’m currently working on an RPG line based on some of my favourite card games as a kid. Here are few examples: –
6) Any other exciting developments you need your public to know about?
One thing I absolutely love about this community is the abundance of artists who genuinely support and want to see each other succeed. I’ve come across some incredible artists, both as individuals, as well as creators. One in particular is @cryptowookiee. Not only is he a highly skilled artist, but an even better person. He’s helped me in numerous ways, and recently we teamed up on a few projects, with many more to come in the future. Sky’s the limit!
7) Anything else (NFT & Art) related that you want to be featured.
I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to ALL the amazing people who have helped me along my journey, including you guys. Your work is awesome, and the fact that you seek out newer, unknown talent is a blessing! Thank you for all you do!
Wow! What a way to kick things off. We would be doing everyone involved a dis-service were we not to mention, when an airdrop was offered by @CRAFTW3RK we had to revise it 3, yes 3 times because his works sold out.
When we asked for emerging talent, we never thought in our wildest of dreams that we would get such a fantastic first feature. Thank you @CRAFTW3RK. We really look forward to watching you and your art bloom into something special.
We have literally dozens of such pieces to come on this oh so special community page. It is our dream that NFTZine & NFT Bench will be there, with you, every single step of the way. When you hit the big time, spare a thought for us and drop us a line, let us know what your up to, so we know we are remembered! Everyone, please get involved in our chat and comments section. Lets share insight and inspiration and build a hub for the insanely beautiful NFT community.
